RRT Racing BMW128i on outside pole
If Michael Dayton had a vision, it has certainly come to reality. It was team, no team from last Sunday
until Thursday, yes the decision for RRT Racing to step in and assume the leading role in the #18
Continental Tire Series came to fruition only two days ago.
The car was in Ohio, it began rolling to New Jersey without a solid deal. Finally, Ryan Ellis Motorsports
team manager Jim Ellis, Ryan’s dad said “let’s do it”.
No one knew exactly what that would mean until this morning, when Ryan, qualified the car on the
outside pole. The RRT Racing team is just ecstatic!
After winning the last race in Miami, and the financing vanishing, no one thought starting up front was
possible. Ellis said, “I knew the car wasn’t hurt after the race in Miami, I know the track here in NJ and
have had success often. I didn’t realize the history RRT Racing had here.”
Dayton stated, “We have every confidence in the crew as well as Ryan and Martin, we are in good
position for a great finish”
