Bimmerfest East 2014 is over and it was a great experience. We would to thank everyone that helped set up the event and we think it was one of the best ones ever. RRT show a strong presence this year, bringing many cars that truly show the diversity of what we are capable of doing.
Timeless Motorgroup showed their support of RRT by bringing up a supercharged E46 coupe with the cleanest wrap job we have ever seen and they also brought Harold’s radical M5 with custom bodywork courtesy of Los Customs and lot of Dinan go fast goodies by RRT. Harold’s M5 took home the win in best modified in a very competitive field.
RRT also brought two Dinan demo vehicles that showed that performance can be extreme, but you can also maintain comfort and sophistication. Sitting in the Dinan Engineering‘s tent was a RRT built F10 550i equipped with a full stage 4 package. RRT’s own Dinan 3 is equipped with almost every performance part Dinan has to offer and also sports ///M Performance Aero, Vorsteiner wheels, Ohlins Road & Track Suspension and custom paint.
Brandon Wheaton took home Best in Show at Bimmerfest this year. His super clean E30 M3 was a collaboration of RRT and one of our best partner, D&V Autobody. The iconic E30 M3 shows that it is still relevant in the age of modern turbocharged cars with it classic styling and handling prowess.
Also getting a lot of attention was our BMW M6 track car. With all the work being done in house, RRT Racing fabricated a full cage, headers, bumped up the horsepower to over 500 at the wheels, and installed a suspension designed to retain EDC Capabilities. A full AIM data system, MXL dash and smarty cam give use the feedback needed to keep improving this track toy. But what really got everyone attention is that all of this was installed in a car that is still comfortable refined. Custom door panels where fabricated allowing the leather to flow off the dash and wrap around you. Alcantara inserts were inlaid in the door panels, Recaro seats and headliner.
Also joining us in the tent were Heather and Corrie, who both proved to be on the receiving end of quite a bit of attention themselves. All of us had a blast the whole weekend and we are already looking forward to next year. Thank you again to everyone that came by and to all the vendors and management that made this event happen.
